this is absolutely per-fect.
this album is unlike anything I've ever heard before. this song in particular even sounds somewhat unlike any of their other songs. melodic. heartfelt. rock and/or roll as FVCK. This german band (Myspace), with members from Perth Express and Trainwreck, left people in awe since their earliest start and this third release just tops everything off. this band's musicianship started off soaring high and continues to grow exponentially. So if you haven't, yet, you need to catch up with wath they've done so far!

And now, for something completely different.

I can NOT emphasize enough how brilliant this record is! When members from Castevet, Into It. Over It and Native came together, I imagine they agreed to take what I love most about those bands and started building songs from such a foundation up just to my likings. pop-punk bands, so far, have never gotten or kept my attention, so it puzzles me why this band seems so spot on. the up-tempo and catchy rythms, brilliant lyrics, and noodly guitars just make it so much more to me.

Hopeless - Human 7"

Hopeless, a band from Melbourne Australia, (Myspace) play heartfelt melodic hardcore. I'm not sure they could convince anyone that never got into this type of hardcore, but to me they set the bar impressively high for such an -what I thought was beginning to become- oversatured style of music. All the more if you think how young this band is. With so many bands making an attempt at this, it's refreshing to see that there are still bands emerging in the genre that keep it all interresting. TWO THUMBS UP!

Grinding Halt/Drainland split

Grinding Halt (Myspace) is a dutch band, that was put on the pedestal of "THE BAND BY EX-SHIKARI AND ILL11 AND LAST MILE MEMBERS" (whatever, right?) since they first plugged in instruments at their first rehearsal. Switching back and forth between ultra fast and ultra slow pitch black dark hardcore, their former bands' influence is felt in the same emotional intensity which makes for a total mindfuck.

Drainland is an Irish band (Myspace) that I first made contact with through this split, and still needs sinking in for me. They display a likeminded combination between passion and raw anger with even more of a rough edge.

LOUD NOISES! Rape Revenge, from the land owt and aboot, (Myspace) two guitars, a drum and a bass guitar (somewhere in there) play that blender-like sounding Grindcore-tempo Hardcore Punk while female vocals screech over it. feminist, vegi and straight edge ethics never sounded so good. having them all combined in one band is a major plus, to me!

Here's one of the latest records I discovered.

Remember,  from Germoney, (Myspace) play hardcore that blends chaotic, passionate and dark elements into a soothing homogeneous blend. This might me the kind of band that gets me back into more chaotic hardcore! If the world was a righteous place, this band would blow up the be the next big thing. dark darker darko.
